I bought two of these Magna Glacier Point bikes in 2003. Easynote R1802 Drivers. One for me and one for my wife so we could ride the local bike trails with our kids. Suprisingly 9 years later we still use them regularly, or at least I do.
I use it to ride around town or to the local pond for a couple of hours of fishing.I also take it on camping trips to ride around the campground. Neither one has given us any trouble over the years, but I do know bikes and service them when necessary. They do have the look and feel of a cheap bike, but work well if not abused. I was at the local department store recently purchasing a new Schwinn Ranger for my son's birthday.
I looked over a new Magna Glacier Point bike and was disappointed to see that the price was increased by $20 and it appears the quality has decreased. Most notably the brakes of all things have changed. They are the flimsiest looking things I have ever seen on a bike, to the point of looking unsafe. On that point alone I would not recommend this bike to anyone. If you want a new bike you should spend a bit more to get something better. If you don't mind a used bike there are plenty on craigslist that are in this price range, many barely used at all. I recently purchased a like new mountain bike for trail riding from craigslist at half the original selling price.
I'll still use my Magna to ride around town. After all who would want to steal it? This bike is a cheap, basic but solid 'mountain' bike. It has standard 26' wheels and suggests a max weight of about 190 Lbs. It has 15 gears, traditional cantilever brakes and no front or rear suspension.
It is surprisingly solid for the price. I've had it less than 1 week and the only complaint i have so far is that the saddle is fairly hard. Hp 2200c Scanner Driver For Windows 7.
In any case, this is a good budget entry level mountain bike. It seems like the type of bike you have to respect or else things will start to go wrong: I doubt i'll be taking it out onto the mountain, for example. Probably best to stick to roads or flat trails. Does what you expect of a 60 dollar bike. I purchased this bike three months ago for 70 dollars.
I needed a bicycle to get me from my apartment to campus, and to tool around on on the weekend and the occasion fifteen mile ride. I've been very pleased with the bike so far. It is light and its ride is comfortable enough. It is fairly quick for being a mountain bike, but I wouldn't venture out on overly rough trails with it. I've had some problems with the derailers not shifting the front gears correctly, but my opinion is that the defect is product of shoddy assembly at the store I got it from, but it is easy enough to fix.
