Hello,the E1 code simply means the machine is working so hard,you can follow the information below to help you fix the problem, The instructions for bobbin winding tell you to click the start button for the bobbin to wind. When you do that you get that E1 with a beeping. What they don't explain is that in order to press that 'UP' arrow button to get the bobbin to wind..you need to UNPLUG the foot control.

So, in other words it to be used for sewing w/o a foot pedal. Now instead of doing as per instructions, assuming you've plugged everything in (foot pedal), after winding is finished just press the foot pedal and your off and running or sewing as the case may be.
